180th City of Galveston Celebration of Independence Day: July 4th Parade and Fireworks

Out of all the Fourth of July events in Galveston, this one takes the cake. This year marks the 180th anniversary of the City of Galveston’s Independence Day celebration. Come celebrate with locals and visitors with a Fourth of July parade and fireworks display over the Gulf of Mexico. The annual Independence Day parade includes a procession of floats, decorated military vehicles, and performers. If it rains, the celebration will be postponed to July 5th. The parade begins on 59th Street at 7 pm and ends at 25th Street. There will be a 20-minute fireworks display over the Gulf of Mexico at 9:15 pm near 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard following the parade.

What better way to celebrate this great American holiday than with the Boy Scouts of America? Scouts from across Brazoria and Galveston Counties will host Fourth of July community parades honoring the United States of America. All are welcome to attend. Parade participants can sign up at the local city hall.
