In October, Hospitality Health ER (HHER) made a big pink splash on the community in support of Pink Heals of Gregg County, a program that brings awareness to all illnesses and needs within the local community. Who could miss those big pink ribbons on our Longview ER center– especially at night when we are lit up so bright?
And for anyone who visited our facility in October, you probably noticed our vibrant staff decked out in pink: pink gloves, pink pins, and pink bracelets. Patients also showed their support by posting a pink ribbon on our Wall of Honor to recognize someone they knew that was touched by illness or hardship. For each ribbon placed on the Wall of Honor, HHER donated $5.00 to Pink Heals of Gregg County.
After collecting 332 ribbons, HHER’s co-founders, Jeanne Shipp, Jeb Shipp, Jill Shipp, and Dr. Timothy Archer, along with Longview staff members, were in attendance to present a check to Pink Heals of Gregg County. Pink Heals’ bright pink fire trucks served as the perfect backdrop for the check presentation where Jeanne Shipp spoke about the outreach initiative:
“We are so excited to be part of this supportive community and present this $2000 check to Pink Heals of Gregg County. We are even more excited that it is going to help a local community member in need.”
Every year, Pink Heals of raises money for different causes within the Gregg County community, and together with HHER, they want to encourage leaders and other businesses within Gregg County to get involved and pitch in where they can.
