Digital X-Ray

cardiac_seperator

We have full radiology and imaging services at each of our ER locations, so you can get the answers you need right away.  If you think your child has swallowed something or you think you may have broken an ankle, Hospitality Health ER has digital X-Rays onsite to give you the results you need—fast. Digital X-Rays reduce your exposure to radiation by up to 80 percent compared to film-based systems.

In addition to being faster, digital X-ray images, unlike film, offer several advantages for more precise diagnosis: they can be magnified, sharpened, colorized, or even inverted, giving our radiologists greater flexibility in interpreting your images.

You will be asked to lie on a table inside a doughnut-shaped machine, which allows the patient to remain in an open environment, unlike an MRI. We go beyond the services of most urgent care clinics to provide CT scans onsite at each of our emergency care centers.

Ultrasound

For pregnant patients experiencing bleeding or other abnormal symptoms, we have onsite ultrasound capabilities to assess the status of the baby. Ultrasound imaging (sonography) uses high-frequency sound waves to show what is going on inside of your body in real-time. The scan shows the movement of your internal organs and the blood flowing through your blood vessels.

EKG

Is it a panic attack or a heart attack? Just like a hospital ER, HHER is equipped with an electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG) onsite to measure the electrical activity of the heartbeat. An EKG tells how fast your heart is beating, the timing of electrical signals as they pass through each part of your heart, and whether you have a steady or irregular heartbeat rhythm.

EKG is a painless, risk-free test that just takes a few minutes and is performed while you are awake. Electrodes (small, plastic patches) are placed directly on your skin at different locations on your chest, arms and legs. These electrodes are connected to wires that communicate with an EKG machine. * We provide EKG testing onsite at each of our emergency rooms.
